Who this covers

Nightcrop runs an SEO and AI-search service and the website at this address. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who else handles it and what you can ask us to do. Write to hello@seo-automate.app with any question about it.

What we collect

  • Account details. When you sign up we receive your name, email address and organization name. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
  • Billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your plan and status. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Business information you give us. Your company name, website domain, product description, target buyers, point of view, banned phrases, competitors, house rules and product facts, and any writing samples you upload, along with short style notes we distill from those samples.
  • Connections you authorize. If you connect Google Search Console, Webflow, WordPress or GitHub, we store the access credentials you grant, encrypted. Search Console is connected with read and write access so we can read your search performance and submit your sitemap. Webflow is connected with access to your CMS, sites and assets. GitHub is connected with the repository access that GitHub's repo permission grants, which covers the repositories on your account.
  • What we produce for you. Draft posts, social posts, audit results, weekly reports and the traffic and visibility numbers behind them.
  • Lead tracking data, if you install our snippet or webhook. For each form submission on your site we record the page address, the visitor's first referring site for that session and the channel we classify it as. We do not record names, email addresses or anything typed into the form.
  • Free tool inputs. The free SEO audit stores the domain and email you enter with its result. The AI crawler checker does not store the domain you enter.
  • Technical data. We use your IP address to limit how often a free tool or form can be used, and to protect the service. If you arrive through a referral link we count the visit and set a cookie, described below.

How we use it

We use AI models to draft and check content. We send them the information needed for that task, such as your business details and the post being written. We do not train our own models on your data, and we do not sell your information.

  • To provide the service: research topics, draft and check content, publish to the systems you connect, audit your site and report results.
  • To take payment and manage your subscription.
  • To send you notifications about your account, such as drafts ready for review.
  • To keep the service secure and working, including finding and fixing errors.
  • To follow up about a free audit you requested or about Nightcrop. You can ask us to stop.

Who else handles your information

We use these service providers to run Nightcrop. They process information on our behalf and under their own terms.

  • Clerk, for sign-in and organizations.
  • Stripe, for payments and the billing portal.
  • Cloudflare, for hosting, our database and the AI models that draft and score content.
  • DataForSEO, for keyword, search result and backlink data about the domains and keywords involved in your plan.
  • Ahrefs, for AI answer visibility reports when your strategist sets one up for you.
  • Google, for Search Console data you connect and for page speed checks of your site.
  • Resend, for the emails we send you.
  • Sentry, an error-tracking service, if enabled, which receives error messages, stack traces and request addresses.
  • The systems you connect, such as Webflow, WordPress and GitHub, which receive the content we publish to them.

Who can see your account

Each account has a named strategist, and strategists can view and edit the accounts they work on in order to do that work. Other than that, we limit access to people who need it to run and support the service.

Cookies

We use cookies that the service needs to work: the sign-in session set by our authentication provider, and a referral cookie, which lasts 30 days, that remembers a referral code if you arrived through a referral link. We do not use advertising cookies, and this site does not run an analytics tracker.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your information while your account is active. Write to hello@seo-automate.app to ask us to delete your account and its data or to send you a copy of it, and we will act on the request. We may keep records we are required to keep, such as payment records held by Stripe.

Security

Access credentials for the systems you connect are stored encrypted. Data is held in Cloudflare's infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if we learn that it has been exposed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to some uses of it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to hello@seo-automate.app and we will respond.

If you use lead tracking

When you add our snippet to your website, you are the one collecting information from your visitors, and we process it for you. Your own privacy policy and any consent your visitors are owed under the laws that apply to you are your responsibility.

Children

Nightcrop is for businesses and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top of this page when we change this policy, and tell account holders about significant changes by email. This version is dated October 24, 2026.
